Candle Love

Hello everyone!

Not too long ago, my husband and I went shopping at one of his favorite stores.  They sell "outdoor" style clothing etc.  As soon as we entered the store, I noticed the most wonderful scent.  I asked what it was and they showed me this candle that was burning.  (This was a mom and pop style shop, not a major chain store.)  You could've knocked me over with a feather to find out that it was a scented candle that is typically used at Christmas time.  It didn't smell like a Christmas tree but rather just a great scent that could be used year round.

Here it is!

They told me that they buy them at Publix, of all places!  So, you know what I did?  I went and bought one.  It appears that it is similar to Yankee candle.  This brand is called, Village candle.

I placed it in my foyer inside the old crate.

I don't really like the color, but I LOVE the smell!  I will be burning this one a lot!

So, if you're looking for a really good candle, go check this one out at Publix.  It has two wicks so it burns evenly and it smells better burning than just straight from the jar.  This is not a seasonal candle, so it is available year round.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

~ Kelly ~

I love a good candle recommendation and that sounds like a good one. I currently have homemade applesauce in my crock pot, so that's my scent for the day. Lol! It smells nice and fall-like with lots of cinnamon. :)

I love candles, too. I wonder if there is a website for these as we don't have a Publix here. My daughter bought a candle from Bath & Body Works called Sweater Weather and it smell my house up in minutes. I think they are actually better than Yankee Candle.

Me again- Here is the link for anyone that wants one that does not have a Publix around them. I did not price shop so there may be other cheaper deals.

Due to allergies, I can't handle scented candles, but I bet this one is a good one.

Thanks for sharing.

Hi Kelly,
I have smelled this one and it is a good one. You are right it does not smell like Christmas but more a fresh outdoor scent. Love it. They sell these in the grocery store up here by us too. It is a great one.

I love the smell of Balsam Fir....I have a Balsam Fir candle made by Yankee Candle and I am assuming the smell must be similar to the one at Publix..no Publix yet in NC...they are building one sort of near to me!..can't wait for it to open!!

What is a Publix? We don't have one around here. I love the smell of balsam fir. It reminds me of being in the mountains.

Oh I bet that smells amazing! Burning scented candles here today too!

I shop at Publix but have not paid attention evidently.

Yes - one of my all time favorites! Actually the balsam scent itself is, like you said, suitable all year round. Revlon had a shampoo for years (of course they have since discontinued it) - Flex with Balsam. It was SO lovely! I don't know why they don't have cleaners and spray with this scent . . .

Good to know. We have a Publix less than a mile from us.

Finding a really nice scented candle can be hard these days with all the 'special scents' companies sell. I love to find something wonderful that I can use all the time. Glad you found something you really like! Blessings, Cindy

There is a Village Candle not far from our cabin. I pass it a lot but have never gone in. Maybe now I will ;).
