Tick Tock - It's All About Clocks

Hello everyone!

Well, we made it to Friday!  That's always a good thing.  Do you have special plans for Easter this weekend?  I am going to my husbands cousins house.  I'm looking forward to seeing everyone and eating some good food!  

I wanted to share  something that I found at the antique store last weekend.  It's a clock!  

It's a reproduction of an old clock.  It's even missing a hand!  But, I knew I would find a place for it.  The first place I thought of was in my kitchen.  It worked well in there, but then I tried it out in my glass cabinet and liked it there too!  So, that's where it ended up.

I liked the round shape of it and the black and white graphics on it.  

But, I still kept thinking how much I liked it in my kitchen too.  It was as if I wish I could've found 2 clocks.  So, I had a light bulb moment and remembered that I had an old clock face down in my basement that I wasn't using.  Until now..............

I never found the perfect place for it in the past.  Plus it looked a little dingy.  I only paid $5 for it last year at an antique mall.  So, I decided to mimic the one that I recently found and use it in the kitchen!  First a coat of white chalk paint was applied.

Then I just free handed some roman numerals and dots on it.  I also stenciled on some lettering.

And that was it!  I then hung it in my kitchen.  

I know it's FAR from perfect.  There are no hands on it either.  But, I just wanted it for the graphics anyway.  I like it!  

So, in the end, the one clock that I found inspired me twice!  

I like these as well because I don't have to change the time on them next Fall.  Ha!
