Hello everyone!
As I mentioned in my last post, I've begun the process of changing up some accessories around my home with Fall approaching. I don't do traditional Fall decor with orange pumpkins and bittersweet inside, but I do like a neutral earth toned palette. To enhance that a little more, I decided to bring in some metallic gold accents. I placed some in my glass cabinet and above my mantel.
The first thing I did was to paint the frame around my mirror in gold.
Then, I brought in some white and metallic gold accessories.
I have some brownish grey fur pillows on order that will be delivered tomorrow and I will add them to my white sofas. I like a bit of faux fur in the cooler months along with some cable knit throws. So, that is my way of adding warmth to a mostly white color palette.
Another cooler weather staple is candles. I have some pillar candles in the fireplace until we can actually light a fire and I love soft scented candles here and there. I have one here on my mantel.
Now, if the weather would just cooperate and start cooling off. It has still felt so hot and humid here.
How do you decorate for the cooler months ahead? Have you made any changes yet?
Thanks for stopping by.

How pretty Kelly! I do decorate with rusts, browns, golds and deep reds because I love the fall colors and they do go with my home. But too hot here to start even thinking about it!
The gold looks really pretty with all of your white, Kelly. I like how you painted your mirror. I have one faux pumpkin out so far - I think I better get busy!
I just love the neutrals, especially in your home Kelly. I enjoy neutrals in mine as well, although I feel with all my wood I could use a bit of color.

Your fall decor looks so lovely. I like how you brought in the gold to warm the space up instead of using orange.
I am a big gold fan. It is classic elegance and it looks fabulous with your white. You have lovely pieces of furniture and great accents.
I love your gold accents. There such a great update.
wow Kelly I really love what you did with the gold accents. Your fireplace looks super with the gold mirror on top as well!!!! And I heart that little furry stool!!!!
Very pretty Kelly. I hope to be back to blogging soon. My brother was in a bad accident down in Tennessee and we are hoping that he will be back here in the hospital tomorrow. He will be in a wheel chair for 3 months.

Your living room is so pretty! I love the pillows and that floral arrangement is perfect! Isn't paint fun? I love being able to totally change the look of things with a simple can of paint.
