Christmas Came Early!

Hello everyone!

I was just so excited and HAD to share my newest piece of furniture for my foyer.  I found this antique solid pine chest of drawers at a consignment shop.  I had a sizable credit that paid for most of it.  So, it just happened to come home with me as an early Christmas present.

What do you think?

Remember, I used to have a small slip covered chair in here.  Now I have this gorgeous chest (with added storage).

Sorry, if I sound a little giddy, but I am!

I brought it home and instantly decorated it for Christmas!  I stored the little table, that was in here, in the basement for the time being.  It will come back out after the Christmas tree is put away.

I have a thing for antique chest of drawers (if you haven't noticed by now).  Lets see, I have one in my sitting room, one in my family room, one in my bedroom and NOW one in my foyer!

This one WILL NOT be painted like the others though!  No sirree!  This one has a beautiful golden patina and I love it just the way it is.

OK, now I'm going to go blog hopping.  I have been so busy this weekend and I've missed visiting everyone.

Thanks for stopping by!

~ Kelly~

Keeping secrets from me, huh? I love it. Good thing I didn't see it first. That will look great after Christmas with different vignettes you create.

I love your new old pine chest. And, that basket on the wall is great too. If I could start over and if cost were of no concern I would want a lot of antique pine.

I have a thing for old chests of drawers and blanket boxes. I'm glad you're not going to paint this one - you're right about the lovely patina. That little chest was made for that nook under your stairs.

I LOVE it!!! I've been searching high and low for the exact type of chest to use as a bedside table. I looooove the tone of wood. I've been loving that sort of rustic pine wood tone lately! Great find!
