Hello everyone!
Yesterday morning, I had an opportunity to go by an antique store on my way home from an appointment. So, with coffee in hand, I browsed the aisles and found a few things to share with you.
As soon as I saw these, I thought of my sister. These are vintage apothecary jars in very good condition. Kim, do you like these???? I know where you can find them.
I spotted this sign that someone made and thought it was very unique and pretty. But at $79, it wasn't coming home with me! I looked at it, and figured it could easily be replicated with some wood, paint and stencils.
Then I went into another booth and spotted these pretty blue and white tin canisters. I actually know the lady who has this booth. She taught preschool to my youngest son. She is English, so many of her antiques are in that style.
She also had this pretty enamel bread box and blue striped mixing bowl.
I really liked these crocks with lids too. Her prices were very reasonable.
In another booth, I stumbled upon this great paint display! It's the Amy Howard at Home paint. I have not tried this brand before. I'm sure it's similar to ASCP, except these cans were only $30/ea which is cheaper than ASCP.
They had some nice colors too.
And look what I spied underneath the table display of paint? This huge wicker trunk! It was even lined inside and wasn't a bad price for it's large size.
This grey painted lamp with the white shade was pretty too.
Now, are you wondering what came home with me? Just one little item.
This old bottle now has a place on my mantel.
I love how old it is and the label isn't even in tact.
Looks like it was for distilled water.
Whatever it was for, I got it for a low price and I like the vintage quality of it.
Hope you enjoyed going shopping with me.
Thanks for stopping by!

Oh, I want to try Amy Howard paint. Didn't know someone around her sold it. I saw it last year in High Point at the market and even met Amy. Yes, I do like those bottles. Cheap?

What a neat place, Kelly! I saw several things I would imagine buying!! I love your bottle and I'm curious...what sort of plant do you have next to it?

Wow, Fantastic Blog, it’s so helpful to me, and your blog is very good, I’ve learned a lot from your blog here, Keep on going, my friend; I will keep an eye on it,
Have not heard of that paint. The only one I can get locally is ASCP and I think it costs the same as other places that I have to pay shipping, but at least I can pick it up fast.
Love the bottle..Between my sister and me we had about eight of those apothecary jars...I still have the old prescriptions but when I downsized, the jars went...
the bottle has a light almost ocean washed beach glass color, love it
Kelly, this shop had some great items and I know you can make that sign and it will be beautiful. Love the bottle you took home.
Cynthia
Great things in the shop. I love the bottle you got. It looks great with the topiaries on your mantel. The wicker hamper and gray lamp look good too. Glad you got to shop before the snow rolled in.
Sounds like such a fun shopping trip! I dream of the day I can go without little ones in tow (I know, I know, I'll miss them being this small too!)
Kelly, If you get south of Atlanta, go visit Rockin B Antiques in Sharpsburg GA (just east of Newnan). This weather is crazy for us southern folk. There was a baby born on 2-85 last night - born healthy in all that gridlock! Love your finds - stay warm. ox
Love old bottles Kelly ane the one you picked looks great on your mantle. That lady did have some neat things.
Definitely fun shopping with you...I like what you liked! And I do think that bottle is adorable. I would probably have come home with it, too.
