Chicken and Wild Rice Casserole - Giveaway Winner Announcement

Hello everyone!

Thanks to everyone who signed up for the Ramsign giveaway.  Also, thank you to Ramsign for offering my readers this exciting opportunity!

The winner of the giveaway is Laurie Howell.
Congratulations!

I also wanted to share this yummy recipe that I discovered recently.  I made it the other night and it was a big hit with my family.

These are the ingredients that you will need.

boneless chicken breasts, celery, onion, butter, sour cream, basil, chicken with wild rice soup, parmesan cheese, chicken broth, and long grain wild rice mix

Step 1.  Make the long grain wild rice from the instructions on the box.  Set aside.

Step 2.  In a large skillet, cook onion and celery in butter.

Step 3.  Stir soup, sour cream, broth, and basil.  Then add in cooked shredded chicken.

Step 4.  Stir in the long grain wild rice that you made earlier.

Step 5.  Transfer this from the pan into a casserole dish.

Step 6.  Sprinkle cheese on top.

Step 7.  Bake in oven at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes.

I forgot to get a picture of it being served.  But, you can pretty much tell how it is!  It was very good.  You can use wine in place of the broth and cream of chicken soup in place of the wild rice soup.  Also, you can make this with turkey instead of chicken.  This might be a great recipe to use leftover turkey around the holidays.  Dare I say that early?!  Just a thought.

Hope you give it a try.  It was really tasty.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Looks yummy! I could prepare this in my electric skillet and then transfer it to a casserole dish and put it in the Breville oven.
