Bathroom Upgrades

Hello everyone!

It's finally Friday!  I think Friday is my favorite day of the week.  We got a lot accomplished this week and I wanted to share some of those things.  We have been updating our bathrooms.  So, in the half bath, we removed the small pedestal sink that came with our house and replaced it with a vanity from Lowes.  It was discounted by over 50% so it fit our budget easily.  We wanted something with storage and more counter space.  So, this painted black oak vanity with marble countertop and undermount sink gave us just what we were looking for.

This room doesn't have any natural light so it's hard to get a good picture.  The cabinet doors have brushed nickel hardware so we installed a matching faucet from Delta on it.

This vanity came as one large piece so we had to remove our door just to get it in the room.  Then, my husband had to remove the baseboard behind it so it would fit flush with the wall.

We are very happy with the end result!  In our upstairs bathrooms, we had the counters and sinks removed and replaced them with granite and undermount sinks.  Here is a snippet of that.

The cabinets were raised so our sink would be higher too.  That was a suggestion by the stone company.  Because of that, we had to remove the mirrors and replace them with smaller ones.  We selected some black distressed framed mirrors for our bathroom.  The granite we chose is called Millenium White.  It is a soft grey color.

We have a lot more work to do in here before I show you the room.  We will be changing out the flooring, a hanging light fixture, tub surround, and shower surround.  I will share our selections with you as we make them.  We are going shopping this weekend to get started.  Our hall bath (son's bathroom) received the same counters and sink.  New flooring will go in his room as well.

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Thanks for stopping by.

It's looking fabulous Kelly!! Love the floor, and the undermount sink is so much easier to clean than drop-ins.

Wow! Y'all have done so much! It looks great and you'll never regret replacing the pedestal sink. We stayed in a condo once and the only thing in the bathroom was a pedestal sink. I had no where to put my toiletries, makeup, etc. Even in a half bath, the extra room and storage is always a good thing. Can't wait to see the rest! I remember you saying y'all wanted to move in a few years, but now you might want to stay. :) It all looks so pretty and I can't wait to see what you do in the kitchen.

I know what you mean about no room to put stuff on a pedestal sink. We removed the dated vanity and put in a period pedestal sink because the room is so small, the door opened right into the vanity. I'm always dropping things on the floor! Love the granite you chose for your bathrooms, Kelly!

well it looks like you and I both re-did our powder rooms and in similar colors. What is the name of the paint you used?
