A Charming Chalk Paint Store

Hello everyone!

Recently, I went to the cutest store to buy some Annie Sloan chalk paint.  This paint is only sold at certain stores, and luckily this store is very close to my house!  It's called Brushstrokes by Maryanne. 

I was completely smitten with it, as soon as I walked in, because of the attention to detail that it was given. 

There was this charming dining table and chairs (painted in chalk paint) for sale.  And check out that industrial style lighting and gorgeous settee!

With summer upon us I really don't work on inside projects...I'm enjoying my kids being home...they grow up to fast!!

Our oldest will be going off to college in a few years :( 

and our schedules are so busy when schools in so we really enjoy family time over the summer... Projects can wait till September when they go back to school!

Right before school let out for summer break we did complete an outdoor project and we couldn't be happier with how it all came out!

My (almost complete) Guest Room Reveal

Hello everyone!

How is your Monday going so far?  It is going okay here.  I've been battling a problem with recurring canker sores on my tongue lately.  It's been going on for several months and it is believed that it may be linked to my inflammatory issues.  Ugh!  Anyone else have this problem?  It is very new to me and NOT fun!  

But, on a brighter note, I have been working on my guest room that will primarily be used for my oldest son if he ever wants to sleep over.  At first, I didn't change it up very much.  I think it was too difficult to give it a new look because I still wanted a reminder of my son in that room.  But now that I've had some time to adjust to him moving out, I'm ready for a new look in there.  I used items that I already had so no expense was made.  Shocking!

European Style Clock

Hello everyone!

Did you all have a nice holiday weekend?  It was relatively quiet at our house.  My husband had to work (and my older son) so we didn't do a whole lot here.  It rained off and on as well, but did let up just enough for fireworks.  Now that fireworks are legal in GA, there were a lot more being set off!  You could definitely tell that everyone had been shopping for them this weekend.

I wanted to share a new clock that I recently received.  I found it at Antique Farmhouse.  

I decided to hang it above my fireplace.  I think everything new ends up over the mantel so I can enjoy it more.
