Hello everyone!
Well, the first day of school started off without a hitch. It feels strange to have a quiet house again.
Many who read my blog regularly, may remember these draperies were once in my family room. They had been put away until (or if) I decided to use them again. Well, that day has come. I pulled them back out and hung them in my kitchen.
I was ready for a small change and these fit the bill.
That's the nice thing about having the same color scheme on the main floor. I can move things around easily from room to room.
I also moved my little burlap bench in here too. This is the original one I had (before I found the one with the union jack on it). I draped a burlap pillow cover over it because I liked the bolder script.
Hope everyone is having a good week.
Thanks for stopping by!
~ Kelly ~

you like to move it too! love the curtains and the stool grain sack!
Love those drapes hung back up and good idea with the stool.
They look great, and what a wonderful window there!! I suggested the drop cloth window treatments I borrowed from you to a young newlywed at my church, and she was so thrilled with the hers, that her mom bought some too. Love the little stool too.
I love those drapes! Did you make them?
those drapes are great! I am doing a chocolate buffalo check for a client's dining room. Love a big check!
Hi Kelly! I love love your kitchen eating area so much that I saved it in my personal pictures file. I want to paint my french doors black but will need to have a visual for my husband to see and yours is perfect!! It was an older post but I am assuming they are still black!lol I adore checks especially buffalo check and these look beautiful here - looks fresh.
Have a great weekend - Jeannette
I love those drapes and love repurposing items. Can you tell me where you got them? I'm sure you've posted about them but I can't remember...I need some like them for my new guest room.
Thanks!
LOVE those drapes!!! Did you add the burlap at the bottom?? That is PERFECT. Love your whole kitchen. XO, Pinky

Kelly, love all of the changes that you made! It is so great when you can just move things around and get a fresh new look, with no money spent! Great job!
I love those drapes, Kelly, and the feeling they give to the space!
I love your buffalo check curtains, they look great.
perfect additions to your wonderful kitchen :)
I've always loved buffalo check, and the new softer colors look much more neutral. How nice that you can move things around from room to room!
I love buffalo check. Your house being neutral is great. We used to pass around curtains within the family when we got tired of them.
Great way to recycle them.
Hi Kelly! Oh, I do love these drapes and they look so pretty where you've hung them. I always love seeing your kitchen and the little stool looks perfect there. Do you know what to do with yourself in your quiet house?
Be a sweetie,

Those drapes are really pretty, Kelly! They suit your kitchen perfectly.
I love buffalo check curtains and yours are the perfect neutral color. Great burlap trim on them...I keep thinking I want to redo my kitchen with a new paint color and buffalo check curtains instead of the green walls and valence I have now. I'm so ready for something new in my kitchen, and I'm getting great ideas from yours. Hmmm. :)
It seems school starts SO very early!! I'm not up on school things anymore but I don't think it has started yet in this part of the country.
Your kitchen looks lovely. I love the lamp sitting on your island. I use lamps everywhere!
I reeeally like your buffalo checked curtains in your dining room. They're perfect as we look forward to fall. And your wicker and burlap look so good in your lovely white kitchen! Sooo pretty!
Can't believe your kids are already back in school.

Hi Kelly,
Those drapes are perfect for your kitchen, love them in there!! I like how they pick up on the same tones as your hardwood table and that light fixture is just gorgeous too!
All the Best,

Love those checked draperies, and I do the same thing...or used to anyway. It just keeps things fresh!
I love those curtains...they remind me of the ones in the Southern Living guest room!
Love the buffalo check. I have the that same lampshade on a lamp in my living room. I just recently saw it in a magazine called Autumn Cottage too. Your kitchen is so cozy and clean!
