Touches of Blue in the Bedroom

Hello everyone!

Since I've been on a color changing spree lately, I decided to add my bedroom to the mix. I decided to bring in a touch of blue in my bedroom. I brought in some blue throw pillows and a vintage blue striped grain sack.

It's very subtle, but just enough to notice a change.

I  filled the grain sack with pillows and set that on my bed.  At the foot of the bed, I added a blue lumbar pillow to the bench.

In the chair across from the bed, another blue and white patterned pillow was added.

(Try to ignore the black spot that appears in my photos.  It is a problem with my camera that I hope to replace soon.)

I used my horse statue on one of my bedside tables.  I love the texture it brings to the room.

I've never tried using blue in this room before with my black furniture.  I don't know why it never dawned on me before, but I'm glad I did!  I think it shows up better in person than in these pictures.

Hope you're having a great Monday.  Be sure to stop by again tomorrow for a fun Blog Hop party that I'm participating in.

Thanks for stopping by!

~ Kelly ~

Love the blue with the black and all the white. If you had not mentioned the black spot I would have never noticed.

I like your touches of blue with the black! That lumbar pillow on the bench is so pretty and adds a nice touch. I also noticed the pretty lamp and basket of flowers on the bedside table. I've got to get some new pillows for my living room couches. I've had my cable knit ones out since winter and now it's spring! I keep hearing how well made (and inexpensive) H&M's pillow covers are. I've also heard good things about Hobby Lobby's pillow covers.

The blue looks just great in there, Kelly. I do love it and have ended up putting blue back in my house for the first time in YEARS (think 1980's country blue).
The bedroom looks very serene and fresh! xo Diana

I just painted over the blue in my bed and bath. On the walls, it got to be too much for me but I LOVE the simple touches of blue Kelly! Blues make me think of summer. Your bedroom is always beautiful. Love the black bed....now where is my paintbrush :-)

Your bedroom is lovely. The black bed is gorgeous. The touches of blue are the perfect way to add some interest to the neutrals. I am slowly working on a makeover of our bedroom.

Gorgeous! Years ago, I ripped a photo from a magazine of a bedroom that was done in pale blue, black and white. Your bedroom reminded me of it. It's so soothing!
