A Charming Chalk Paint Store

Hello everyone!

Recently, I went to the cutest store to buy some Annie Sloan chalk paint.  This paint is only sold at certain stores, and luckily this store is very close to my house!  It's called Brushstrokes by Maryanne.

I was completely smitten with it, as soon as I walked in, because of the attention to detail that it was given.

There was this charming dining table and chairs (painted in chalk paint) for sale.  And check out that industrial style lighting and gorgeous settee!

Here is a close up of the finish and cute table setting.

They sold a lot of cute accessories and light fixtures.

And check out these beautiful chairs!  They were painted in chalk paint and recovered in a soft material that looked like grain sack.  (I've seen this material for sale on Decor Steals.)

The front of the store carries home goods for sale, paint is sold in the middle and a workshop is in the back.  The back of the store (if you can see it in this picture above) had a whitewashed brick wall with sliding barn doors on it.

Have you ever walked into a store that just felt like you could move right in?  Well, this was that store for me!

Anyway, I just thought I would share these pics with you since I loved it so much.  I ended up buying some French Linen chalk paint and dark wax so I can begin working on the dresser in my guest room.
I'm sure I will find more reasons to go back to this cute store again and again!

Hope you all have a great weekend.

Thanks for stopping by.

~ Kelly ~

This looks like a cute shop. It might be dangerous for me!!! You are lucky to have an ASCP vendor near you. I have to order mine online. Sometimes, when we go on vacation, I able to pick some up without having to worry about shipping. I just love ASCP so much, I can't resist!

P.S. I would like to invite you to come visit/follow my blog

I can see why you loved this store Kelly. It's so 'you'.

We live in the boonies, so I was surprised to see a store like this opened recently about 30 minutes from us (for us that's really close!). I was in the area the other day so thought I'd stop in,they were closed, but I could tell it was a store like this one from the window. I had recommended it to a friend a couple of weeks ago and she bought some paint there and said it was really nice. We also have a MMS milk paint dealer in another great store about the same distance where I've gotten some things. I love both paints, but I think I prefer the milk paint overall. Have you tried it?

I love those sliding barn doors! What a fun place to shop! Those grain sack chairs are beautiful. That reminds me that my local coffee shop just started selling their burlap coffee sacks for a mere $2.50 and they're quite large. I need to pick up a few and work them into my decor somehow. Enjoy the weekend!

That store has your name on it! We have a store that has a workshop that they create some unique industrial style pieces that reminds me of what they are doing here at your local store. I am always intrigued by what they have but its too much of a stretch to add to my home. I hope your new project turns out just like you're dreaming it will! I've never used the Annie Sloan paints on anything but I've seen so many projects done with it and have been impressed with the outcome! Have a great weekend!

I'd love to have a store like that close enough to pop into for supplies and browsing. The chairs are so nicely done up with chalk paint and grain sack fabric. Maybe I'll be able to add some fun furniture to my living room when our piano is gone....4 more days! I'm anxious to see the dresser you're painting!

I have been wanting to go visit Mary Ann's store. Didn't know it was so cute. I met her a couple years ago when she had Miss Mustard Seed come teach a milk paint workshop.
