Enjoying some Fall Festivals

Hello everyone!

Hello, my name is Kelly, and I am a Fall festival enthusiast.  Ha Ha!  My favorite thing about the changing season is the fall festivals that are popping up every weekend.  I went to two this weekend!

The first one was with my sister and we went to The Market in Alpharetta.  It was held on the square with lots of tents set up and people selling everything from produce and honey to antiques and homemade clothing.

Here are a few pics from our day together.

This tent was very hot and crowded so I apologize for the blurry picture.

We actually enjoyed the shopping better in some of the neighboring shops on the square.

This store had a lot of pretty furniture and unique accessories.

I almost bought this decorative item made out of twigs.  Not sure what you call it, but I really liked it.

We loved these cute chairs!  They look like the ones from Restoration Hardware.  The table was pretty but didn't seem practical.

My sister LOVED this artwork and so did I.

I thought these homemade pencils were cute.

And what did I buy?  I bought this distressed wooden sign.  I bought this from one of the neighboring shops.  After bringing it home it landed on this wall in a hallway near my kitchen.

The next day, my husband and I went to Suwanee Days Festival.  I will share those pics with you in another post.  I found something there as well!

Do you like to go to Fall festivals?

Thanks for stopping by.

Love the sign you bought. That's not where you were going to put it. I guess the other spot didn't work.

Sounds like a fun time shopping with your sister! That's neat that there are all those markets there this time of year!

It's always fun when we have a day out with our sisters!
Cute sign. I saw one just like it in a small town south of us. The store was called Romancing the home.
It was in grays.

We really don't have any fall festivals nearby, but I would love wandering through the tents filled with goodies on a sunny fall day. It looks like you had a fun day and found a cute painted sign for your wall. I painted a similar one for our oldest granddaughter's room because my daughter loves the song and so do I!

I do miss the Falls in Atlanta. I too love festivals and shops. I always forget that Kim is your sister. You two seem so different. Have a great day!

This looks like it was a fun, fun day. I wish it was fall here in California, it's trying, but not hard enough! Your sign is perfect, isn't it always so inspiring to go out and see what's new? ps. I love the twig thing too….there's something so creative about it.

I adore festivals this time of year, but there aren't many around here in south texas. We were in Georgia this time last year and came across one in a tiny town in the mountains. Hubby and I stopped to enjoy the ambience that only small town America can provide. Lovely!

I love Fall festivals too! It's such a nice time of year with cooler weather, festivals, and pretty soon we'll add the neighborhood Christmas home tours! I can't wait! My boys used to have some pencils like that, but I can't remember where they got them. Your sign is pretty too. That table sure was unique, but you're right about it not being practical. Can't wait to see what else you bought!

How did I miss the Apharetta Festival. I went right pass the exit. I could have stopped in. I guess traveling with a baby doesn't make it easy to browse for very long. The kids didn't bring the stroller anyway. Everything looks beautiful. I know this was fun!

I love your distressed sign. I am trying to decide on a sign to make for my entry since I stole the one that was there for our kitchen. That just might be the wording I choose.

Those pencils would be perfect for our cabin:).

I love Fall festivals too, and there's certainly no shortage of them here in New England.

Your sign is beautiful!

Loving the twig thing along with everyone else. I liked the table too-just needs a big ole piece of glass over the wicker and then you can display your seasonal doo-dads under it.

Yes, I love fall festivals -there just aren't as many around here (at least not that I know of). The sign is fabulous - that would have caught my eye, too!
