Spring Guestroom

Hello everyone!

Today I am joining a great group of bloggers that will be sharing something Spring related this week.

Be sure to go to Let's Add Sprinkles for the complete tour.  I'm sure you'll be inspired! Thank you to Katie for inviting me to participate.

I don't do a lot of seasonal decorating (except at Christmas) but my house is filled with a lot of white and lends itself to the warmer months very well.  So, I decided to share my small guest room that I've recently made a few changes to.  It's more of a decorated room that doesn't get much use (other than my son when he visits).  So it's a fun space to decorate because it seldom gets messed up!

I love the look of layered whites and creams.  Neutral interiors are my favorite.  So texture plays a big role in my home.  I layered different textures on the bed and one of my favorite pillow shams from Pom Pom interiors.

One sham says PEACE and the other one says LOVE.  I used them on the bed and in the chair.  I switched chairs in here by using my new French style chair in place of the rocking chair that was in here. It is a better fit in this room.

More texture was added with the pom pom trimmed pillow and more knit throws stacked on top of the dresser.

A few interesting accessories flank the bedside table. The burlap lamp shade coordinates with the burlap curtains on the other side of the bed.

On the other side of the bed, stacked woven trunks make for an interesting side table and a basket of white roses adds a little Spring cheer.

So that is my small guestroom with neutral colors and lots of texture. It gets lots of sunlight and feels very "Springy" this time of year.

Thanks for stopping by!

Kelly your guest room looks so comfy. I love your use of textures in the room. I have to laugh though because we have a guest bedroom as well but I usually end up throwing all my extras in there so when we have company I have to clean it. You did a beautiful job...agree very lucky guests. Xo Barbara

Kelly,
What a great collection of knit throws! When I saw the first one on the bed, I loved it. Then when I saw the stack on the dresser, I studied each one for all the different designs and textures. Your French-style chair with its grey upholstery is perfect for this room.

Happy Spring!

Beautiful calm and serene space with lots of texture! Did you paint your trunk? I love the color of it!

Very pretty, Kelly! I think we love much of the same. I absolutely love how you stack your knit throws/blankets...sometimes we 'lose' their charm and warmth when they are draped over furniture everywhere. The throw at the end of the bed is beautiful...do you remember where you found it?
